Welcome to our ecological garden. In 1995, when this family project started, our land consisted only of grass and cows, cattle land. We started planting specific host plants for butterflies to eventually breed them and export the chrysalides (or cocoons) for butterfly exhibitions and museums all around the world. Mostly for educational purposes. By planting different species of hostplants for the butterflies, a lot of birds species came along and started to distribute new seeds to the garden. New species of plants and trees started to grow and without out intervention the garden grew into a beautiful rainforest with an enourmous amount of biodiversity. Together with the birds and pollinaters a lot of other animals made our forest their home.
